All About Me

I am Dr. Devika Kosana, a dedicated psychiatrist with an MD in Psychiatry from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS, New Delhi), completed between 2017 and 2020. With a commitment to providing compassionate and comprehensive mental health care, I diagnose and treat a wide range of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders while integrating evidence-based medication management with personalized therapy tailored to each patient's unique needs. Currently, I work as a Consultant Psychiatrist at KIMS-Sunshine Hospitals in Begumpet, Hyderabad and at Devi Nursing Home, Old Bowenpally, Secunderabad, where I offer a comprehensive range of treatment services, including support for mood disorders, anxiety, schizophrenia, childhood disorders, and addictions, among others. My professional journey has included roles as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities, and at ESIC Medical College and Hospital, as well as a Senior Resident at the Institute of Mental Health and Child Psychiatry at Niloufer Hospital. I have a special interest in child and adolescent psychiatry, women’s mental health, general adult psychiatry, and psychotherapy, and I am honored to have received the World Congress of Asian Psychiatry-Young AFPA scholarship in 2022. I have also contributed to the field through research publications, guest lectures, and organizing professional development programs. Fluent in English, Telugu, and Hindi, I aim to enhance my patients' mental health and overall quality of life every day.
