Dr Sai Krishna

All About Me

I am a dedicated and hardworking multilingual gastroenterologist based in Hyderabad, with over 10 years of experience in internal medicine and gastroenterology in both hospital and clinical settings. I was fortunate to receive a full scholarship throughout medical college, which laid a strong academic foundation for my career. I have extensive experience working with minority and low-income populations, which has enriched my practice and understanding of diverse patient needs. Currently, I serve as a consultant gastroenterologist and hepatologist at KIMS Sunshine Hospital in Begumpet and at Kamineni Hospital in LB Nagar. Additionally, I hold the position of associate professor of gastroenterology at Gandhi Medical College and have previously worked as a consultant gastroenterologist at Care Hospitals in Mushirabad. My skills include therapeutic ERCP, diagnostic and therapeutic EUS, therapeutic endoscopy, colonoscopy, manometry, and consultative GI and hepatology. I pride myself on my professional demeanor, clinical acumen, and compassionate approach to patient care. I am adept at making quick and sound decisions under pressure and treat my colleagues and staff with the utmost respect and professionalism. My educational background includes an MBBS from Osmania Medical College, an MD in Internal Medicine from Gandhi Medical College, where I served as the Principal Research Coordinator for a study on ultrasound findings and platelet count-spleen diameter ratio in assessing the severity of varices in cirrhosis of the liver, and a DM in Gastroenterology from Gandhi Medical College, where I was among the top eight selected for the program. I also contributed as a co-investigator for phase 4 multicenter RCTs of the drugs Linaclotide and Prucalopride. Personally, I was born on July 20, 1983, and currently reside in Hyderabad, Telangana. I am married to a doctor and enjoy watching cricket, following Indian politics, and traveling during my leisure time. I am fluent in Telugu, English, and Hindi.
